Sorry for the delay in response. Thank you for your comment. It's unfortunate that these blogs are available for the entirety of the world to see and sometimes they are written from such a personal place that they can be misunderstood by people who do not know me. The title is misleading, and I apologize if you came seeking help. This entry was more of a joking stab at my husband who has never weakened my self esteem ... on the contrary, he consistently lifts me up to be the best person I can be. He is more detail oriented than I and that pisses me off, hence the entry. Please accept my apology that you came looking for more. As for the dig on his picture ... all of us have different standards and I find him to be dreamy.

I feel sad for you to think it's ok for your husband to constantly criticize you. Perfectionism is not a quirk, it's a living nightmare and a disorder (look in the DSM IV http://www.psyweb.com/Mdisord/jsp/ocpd.jsp. I was hoping to find some insight on how to get a perfectionist husband to seek help and realize he is an asshole. Instead I found that you have allowed this man to erode your self esteem to the point where you think its okay because he is "usually right". I can tell you by looking at his photo he is obviously not perfect. ugh

Yay! So glad to have you back...now if only I can make sure that I keep checking in regularly to see what you've posted :} Can't wait to hear more about "Charlie", and I can't express enough how excited I am for you all. If I have any recipes I deem worthy of sharing I will try to remember to pass them along.

Love you!

It's probably a good thing that you were out of touch for so long. I don't have as much to catch up on since I have been out of touch for even longer :)

I knew there was a reason that you and I get along so well, though. You speak as if you read my mind, so I do not condemn you at all.

Love and Miss You All!!!!

Hi jenn,

Once again I feel guilty because I have not called you yet. o_O.

I just wanted to say that when "old" moms say "time flies" or "enjoy it while it lasts" they are really talking to their younger selves and wishing that they had enjoyed each moment more with their children. It is SO cool that you enjoy your little guy at each age/stage and appreciate him and his cute unique little self. I guess looking back, they think to themselves, "where did my baby go" and it is hard to explain this until you experience it. :-) When Angie left for college I was devastated and really had a difficult time coping with the fact that she was all grown up. I guess some people are so busy being annoyed with each stage and saying "when are they going to grow up?" that they forget to enjoy the moment they are in.

Thanks for the excellent blog entry!!

Miss you, I really do even though I am a bad friend lately,
Lori
